We do not intend to black list companies or individuals we will not do business again. However, we have a responsibility to our clients, customers and friends to be of help when ever possible and we will share with you personally, our experience with companies we will not do business with again or recommend. Be it local insurance, long distance carriers, web hosting, etc., feel free to phone us at 828-926-5060 and we will share those who take or have taken good care of us and those who have not.
Direcway Internet Server Use only if you have no other choice, and then still try to find another choice. If you use them be prepared to have the best support technicians at your side because you will need it. Their tech support is next to worthless. Do believe what Direcway say's, read what they write and keep a copy of advertising, etc as they will change and deny they every promised anything. I have used them for several years and every month their services get worse and less dependable. I can't wait until we have another choice! By the way Direcway and Dish network internet servers are both owned by Hughes Corporation so I would expect one to be as bad as the other. You wouldn't believe what my IT will tell you about our experience with Direcway. BE WARNED - STAY AWAY FROM DIRECWAY
SONY; We have extended warranty on a digital camera purchased in a Sony store. The camera quit after 20 months of use. When we called Sony they told us "we have to physicaly take the camera back to the Sony store where we purchased it". That happens to be in SC, which is bad enough but what if you were traveling in CA, or even Europe (if Sony has outlet stores there). THE OUTCOME; We have extended warranty. It appears Sony knows nothing about extended warranty or who to refer you too, or even a phone number. Not real helpful from Sony! But when I contacted the extended warranty company things could not have gone smoother. In a matter of minutes the claim was filed, phone and email contact information to the repair company and shipping address were provided and in a most courteous manner . Service was expedient. Took a few days longer then quoted but no complaints! Good review for the extended warranty company, not so good for Sony!
Local Insurance Company. After receiving a bill and paying that, we received another bill which in fact included three different additional amounts due which doubled the amount originally billed. We called around, found cheaper rates and swiched companies. When we cancelled with the previous company. The amount they refunded amounted that they charged us $300+ for 10 days insurance. CALL US AND WE WILL GIVE YOU THE LOCAL INSURANCE COMPANY NAME. We are not knocking the local company, but they should have gone to bat for us with the parent company in this matter.
CoffeeDirect: Very slack on customer support and customer retention. Their response to a complaint; A "bad taste" is largely subjective, and only do full replacements when there is an error. We recognize CoffeeDirect's every right to determine their own replacement policy. But we have a responsiblity to our customers, clients, friends to keep them informed of our experiences, good or bad with any vendor.
